Job summary

Partner Company is seeking a Senior Architect based in Switzerland to act as a fractional CTO, guiding multiple technology businesses with architectural strategy and hands-on leadership. You will mentor teams, review designs, and drive scalable solutions across projects.

The role blends architecture, DevOps, and product-focused problem solving, with flexibility to work full‑time or start part‑time. Strong communication with founders and engineers is essential.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in software development with senior leadership/architecture experience.
• Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft C#/.NET or Node.js.
• Masters of React; Angular or Vue experience is a plus.
• Relational DB expertise: MySQL, SQL Server, MariaDB, PostgreSQL.
• Cloud+DevOps: Azure and AWS; CI/CD practices.
• Experience with Ionic/React Native; multi-language environments a plus.
• Strong communication with founders, product, and engineers; coaching mindset.

Responsibilities

• Act as a fractional CTO for 2–3 technology businesses providing architecture leadership and strategic direction.
• Translate business priorities into technical requirements and actionable solutions.
• Review and evolve software architecture for scalability, security, and alignment with product goals.
• Protect teams from complexity while prioritizing technical work by business needs.
• Conduct code reviews, mentor developers, and improve engineering practices.
• Perform technical code audits for investments or new projects, identifying risks and improvements.
• Provide hands-on support for complex issues in development, DevOps, and infrastructure.
• Contribute to recruitment, training, and knowledge sharing; set technical standards.
• Participate in technical interviews and research emerging frameworks and technologies.
• Support in-person founder/investor meetings with technical consulting as needed.
