Job summary

Hilo by Aktiia is seeking a Financial Controller to own the integrity of financial records, manage close cycles, and scale finance with automation. This hands-on role oversees external providers, reconciliations, and multi-entity reporting while driving AI-enabled improvements.

Based in Neuchâtel, Switzerland or remote in a global setup, you will collaborate with FP&A, operations, sales and auditors across jurisdictions. Visa requirements apply where needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in accounting, audit (Big 4) or financial controlling.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow).
• Experience closing monthly and annual books across entities.
• ERP experience and ability to investigate transactions.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Interest in AI, automation to improve Finance.

Responsibilities

• Own monthly, quarterly and annual close across the Group.
• Coordinate accounting across multiple legal entities and jurisdictions.
• Supervise day-to-day accounting of a two-person team.
• Review journal entries and reconciliations; ensure items resolved.
• Improve automation and AI to reduce repetitive work.
• Support audits and provide financial information.
• Partner with FP&A for timely reporting.
