Jobgether is seeking an experienced Staff Software Engineer to help build a new Field Engineering function within a fast-growing global technology environment. Based in Switzerland, you will work on complex backend systems, APIs, data flows, and external integrations to solve critical challenges for strategic enterprise customers.

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on Staff Engineer experience building production systems.
• Backend expert with distributed systems, APIs, data flows, and integrations.
• Proven ability to investigate complex issues and deploy production-ready solutions.
• Experience turning customer insights into scalable platform improvements.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration with Product and Commercial teams.
• Nice to have experience in travel tech, pricing systems, or marketplace dynamics.

Responsibilities

• Build and implement technical solutions across a global travel platform.
• Work with Account Management to identify opportunities and resolve issues affecting performance and growth.
• Investigate bottlenecks in backend services, APIs, data pipelines, and third‑party dependencies, from diagnosis to deployment.
• Optimize pricing mechanisms to improve booking competitiveness and margins.
• Improve hotel inventory availability, mapping accuracy, and supplier connectivity.
• Develop pre-booking validation and booking recovery mechanisms.
• Identify opportunities to improve platform performance and reliability.
• Translate business insights into technical improvements prioritizing impact.
• Collaborate across multiple services and components rather than a single domain.
• Measure impact using business and technical KPIs.
• Transform successful account-specific solutions into reusable platform capabilities.
• Help establish Field Engineering processes and share knowledge.
