Job summary

Medartis, based in Basel, is seeking a Field Development Specialist (KeriMedical) to lead hands-on medical education and clinical support for our TOUCH CMC 1 Total Joint Prosthesis. Ideal candidates have a clinical background with sales exposure and strong communication with surgeons and hospital staff.

Role requires collaboration across marketing, product development, and sales to drive training, adoption, and regulatory compliance in a global setting.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience in surgery or clinical setting; orthopedic OR preferred.
• Medical education, sales or sales training strongly encouraged.
• Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in surgical procedures to support healthcare professionals using TOUCH CMC 1.
• Conduct product demos and trainings for healthcare professionals.
• Share surgeon insights with marketing and product teams per regulatory alignment.
• Develop and execute comprehensive training programs for healthcare professionals and sales teams.
• Build and maintain relationships with orthopedic surgeons and hospital staff.
• Collaborate with sales leadership to support revenue growth and training needs of territory.
• Expand market presence and drive product adoption.

This Field Development Specialist, KeriMedical (FDS) plays a crucial role in ensuring positive surgical outcomes through hands‑on medical education and clinical support. This position requires experience in surgery or a clinical setting, with experience in sales and account management highly preferred.

Your responsibilities

• Participate in surgical procedures to assist healthcare professionals with proper use of the TOUCH CMC 1 Total Joint Prosthesis
• Conduct product demonstrations and training sessions for healthcare professionals
• Ensure surgeon insights and feedback are shared with marketing and product development teams in alignment with the legal manufacturer
• Participate and assist in executing comprehensive training programs for healthcare professionals and sales teams to ensure a deep understanding of products
• Build and maintain strong relationships with orthopedic surgeons, healthcare providers, and other key stakeholders
• Close collaboration with sales leadership and regional management to build a strategic business plan to include activities to support the revenue growth objective and training requirements of respective territory
• Develop and execute plans to expand market presence and increase product adoption
• Stay updated on latest clinical advancements and incorporate relevant findings into product positioning
• Ensure all activities comply with relevant regulatory standards and guidelines
• Collaborate with Marketing and Regulatory Affairs to navigate and address any compliance issues
• All other tasks assigned by manager based on business needs
• 3+ years experience in surgery or other clinical setting; orthopedic operating room preferred
• Medical education, sales, or sales training experienced highly encouraged
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with surgeons, operative staff, and hospital administrators
• Strong strategic thinking and problem‑solving skills
• Results-oriented mindset with a track record of meeting or exceeding corporate goals
