Medartis AG in Basel, Switzerland seeks a Field Reimbursement Manager to act as SME for coverage, coding, billing, and payment processes for the medical device portfolio. You will partner with Sales, Market Access, Providers, and Revenue Cycle to remove access barriers and enable product utilization.

The role requires 5–7+ years in reimbursement or related fields, knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid and CPT/HCPCS coding, CPC/ CCS certification, and willingness to travel up to 25%.

• Bachelor’s degree required (Healthcare Administration, Business, Life Sciences or related).
• 5–7+ years in reimbursement, revenue cycle, coding, or payer experience.
• Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid and commercial payer processes.
• Understanding of CPT, HCPCS and ICD-10-CM coding.
• CPC, CCS or similar certification.
• Experience supporting procedural or implantable medical devices.
• Experience working with providers or hospital systems.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.

The Field Reimbursement Manager (FRM) serves as the subject matter expert on coverage, coding, billing, and payment processes for the company’s medical device portfolio.

This role partners closely with Sales, Market Access, Providers, and Revenue Cycle stakeholders to facilitate appropriate reimbursement, remove access barriers, and support product utilization through compliant communication.

The FRM provides education and support to healthcare providers and internal teams regarding payer requirements, documentation standards, and claims processes.

Your responsibilities

• Bachelor’s degree required (Healthcare Administration, Business, Life Sciences, or related field preferred)
• 5–7+ years of reimbursement, revenue cycle, coding, or payer experience
• Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payer processes
• Understanding of CPT, HCPCS, and ICD ‑ 10-CM coding (preferred: direct experience with Cat III CPT codes and transitional passthrough payment)
• Strong presentation and communication skills
• Ability to travel up to 25%
• CPC, CCS, or similar certification
• Experience supporting procedural or implantable medical devices
• Experience working directly with providers or hospital systems
