Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA) in Geneva seeks an F1 Embedded Application Software Engineer to develop and monitor in-house embedded software for FIA Formula 1 platforms, including the Standard ECU and Accident Data Recorder. You will lead multi-system integration across control units, sensors, and data systems to ensure regulatory compliance.

You will also support trackside operations at F1 events (~12 per year) and contribute to auditing, simulation, and regulatory validation

Qualifikationen

• Master's degree in Electronics, Control Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 3–5 years of professional experience in embedded control systems or real-time application software in motorsport environments.
• Knowledge of FIA Formula 1 Standard ECU is advantageous.
• Proven track record in real-time embedded software development, testing, and lifecycle management.
• Proficiency in MATLAB, Simulink, and Simscape.

Aufgaben

• Design, implement, validate, and maintain in-house embedded software for FIA Formula 1 platforms (e.g., Standard ECU, Accident Data Recorder).
• Lead end-to-end multi-system integration across control units, sensors, buses, telemetry, and data-analysis suites.
• Translate requirements into software architectures, specifications, and verification plans.
• Develop simulation, test, and data-analysis tools to accelerate validation and regulatory evolution.
• Perform functional and integration testing with F1 teams and electronics suppliers.
• Triage, optimize, and maintain software repositories with code reviews and documentation.
• Build in-house capabilities to improve FIA technical independence.
