Zusammenfassung

FIA in Geneva is seeking an experienced Embedded Application Software Engineer to strengthen our in-house capabilities for monitoring and enforcing Formula 1 technical and sporting regulations. You will develop, test, and maintain embedded software across key FIA platforms, with trackside travel to events and close collaboration with teams and manufacturers.

The role requires a Master’s degree in a related field and 3–5 years in embedded real-time software, with strong MATLAB/Simulink experience

Qualifikationen

• Master’s degree in Electronics, Control Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 3–5 years of embedded control systems or real-time application software development in motorsport environments.
• Fluent written and spoken English; knowledge of FIA standards is a plus.

Aufgaben

• Design, implement, validate, and maintain in-house embedded software for FIA Formula 1 platforms (Standard ECU, ADD-ON).
• Lead end-to-end multi-system integration across control units, sensors, and data systems.
• Translate complex requirements into software architectures, specs, and verification plans.
• Develop simulation, test, and data-analysis tools to accelerate validation and support regulatory evolution.
• Perform functional and integration testing on bench and vehicle environments with F1 teams and suppliers.
• Troubleshoot and maintain code repositories with rigorous reviews and documentation.
• Build in-house engineering capabilities to maintain independence and responsiveness.
