Job summary

Flux Mobility AG in Winterthur, Switzerland, seeks an experienced Thermal Systems & Mechanical Engineer to own the thermal architecture of our electric light commercial vehicles. You will size and design battery cooling, power electronics and e-motor cooling, cabin HVAC, and the coolant/refrigerant circuits; integrate the mechanical hardware and validate across concept to field.

Qualifications

• Degree in mechanical/automotive/mechatronics or comparable discipline.
• 5+ years in thermal systems or thermal management, automotive preferred.
• Experience with battery cooling, HVAC, refrigerant circuits or heat pump systems.

Responsibilities

• Own the vehicle's thermal architecture including battery cooling/heating and e-motor cooling.
• Size and design cooling and heating systems, radiators, pumps, heat exchangers and circuits.
• Conduct thermal sizing, 1D simulations (and CFD where needed) and correlate with tests.
• Integrate mechanical hardware into the vehicle with packaging and interfaces.
• Define thermal requirements with software and lead verification and validation.
• Collaborate with suppliers and partners on selection, specs and validation.
• Support aftersales and field issues with root-cause analysis.
• Analyze test/field data to iteratively improve thermal and mechanical design.
