Job summary

Benchling, the AI platform for biotech R&D, seeks a senior leader to run the EMEA R&D Solution Consulting organization. This role leads a team of 12, collaborating with the GM EMEA and the Field CTO to align scientific strategy with Benchling’s growth plan across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.

Qualifications

• Substantial hands-on R&D experience in biotech or pharma with a PhD or equivalent depth.
• Experience guiding large R&D programs through change and adopting new tech.
• Executive-level engagement with VPs, Heads of R&D, and C-level leaders.

Responsibilities

• Be the scientific voice in the room for major meetings and strategic opportunities.
• Lead the 10x conversation translating vision into actionable plans for R&D leaders.
• Develop two first-line leaders and build succession as the team grows.
• Shape EMEA strategy and the roadmap, feeding insights to Product, Marketing and global teams.
