Job summary

Benchling, Inc. seeks a Solution Consultant (SC) to lead pre-sales engagements for our largest biotech and pharma customers. You will translate customer objectives into detailed Benchling solutions, interfacing with sales, professional services, and product teams.

The role requires a Life Sciences background, experience with LIMS/ELN, and strong demonstration skills. English fluency is mandatory; German or French is a plus. Expect 25-30% travel and hybrid in-office collaboration.

Qualifications

Master’s in Biology, Molecular Biology, Genetics, Biotechnology, Bioengineering, Biochemistry, Chemistry or similar Life Science field.
Minimum of 4 years of work experience, ideally customer facing.
Experience with scientific/informatics software such as LIMS, ELN, or others preferred.
Familiarity with antibody engineering software is a plus.
Experience demonstrating scientific software in pre-sales to top biotech/pharma companies is highly desired.
Fluent in English; German or French a plus.

Responsibilities

Partner with account executives and leadership to create account and deal strategies.
Manage discoveries to uncover customer needs and decision criteria.
Craft solutions based on Benchling capabilities and industry best practices.
Present and demonstrate solutions persuasively; handle questions and objections.
Engage with product management to inform the roadmap and influence buying decisions.
Provide leadership by creating reusable solutions and trainings; mentor other SCs.
