CDDS AG in Zürich is seeking a hands-on Software Engineer focused on embedded security for our next‑generation defense tech. You will secure embedded Linux devices and ground systems, implement provisioning, authentication and updates, and translate requirements into practical solutions.

Ideal candidates have strong Python/C++ skills, experience with embedded platforms like NVIDIA Jetson, and familiarity with security compliance such as NIST SP 800-171/CMMC.

Qualifikationen

• Strong software development skills in Python and/or C++.
• Experience securing embedded Linux systems.
• Knowledge of encryption, secure boot, access control, and device security.
• Ability to balance security requirements with performance, reliability, and operational needs.
• Experience with hardware-backed key storage, like TPMs.
• Experience supporting security compliance or assessments is a plus.
• Familiarity with US cybersecurity requirements relevant to defense suppliers is a plus.
• Experience with NVIDIA Jetson or similar embedded platforms.
• Experience with Yocto.
• Experience with embedded penetration testing.
• Familiar with NIST SP 800-171 and CMMC.

Aufgaben

• Write and maintain software that secures our embedded Linux devices and ground systems.
• Implement secure provisioning, authentication, key management, and software updates.
• Translate security requirements into practical technical solutions with our security and compliance lead.
• Identify vulnerabilities, implement fixes, and verify security measures on real hardware.
• Support compliance work with technical documentation and evidence of implemented controls.
