Job summary

CDDS in Zurich is seeking a strong all-around Software Engineer to help build a real-time, safety-critical platform that fuses radar, sensors, and third‑party data into an operational picture. You will work on the ground-segment that connects drones with sensors and operators, enabling low-latency, reliable field operations.

This on-site Zurich role involves fleet-management tooling, performance tuning, and hands-on work with real hardware and customers, in a fast-moving, deep-tech startup

Qualifications

• MSc or PhD in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field with an outstanding track record.
• 3+ years of professional production software experience with deep Python expertise.
• Fluency in Linux-based development environments.
• Solid grounding in software security fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Architect the ground-segment platform that fuses radar and multi-sensor data into a real-time operational picture.
• Build the integration layer connecting drones to third-party sensors and platforms for field reliability.
• Design and own fleet-management and provisioning tooling for live interceptor coordination.
• Profile, tune, and harden system performance to withstand real-world load.
• Work close to the field: see your code deployed on real hardware and customers.
