Job summary

Proxima Fusion GmbH in Zürich, Switzerland seeks an embedded software engineer to develop the embedded control platform for its world‑leading fusion hardware. You will translate functional and control requirements into real‑time software, select suitable microcontrollers, DSPs, and FPGAs, and build robust software close to the hardware.

Qualifications

• University degree in Electrical, Electronics or Computer Engineering or related field.
• Strong understanding of embedded architectures for real-time applications.
• Expertise in embedded software development for real-time control.
• Experience monitoring and debugging on target hardware.

Responsibilities

• Define embedded controller architectures for power electronic converters and select suitable microcontrollers, DSP, FPGA.
• Translate control requirements into efficient real-time software implementations.
• Develop, test, debug, and validate embedded software on target hardware and in automated testing environments.
• Explore new architectures to improve converter performance, reliability, and maintainability.
