Proxima Fusion GmbH is seeking an Automation Engineer – Magnet Industrialisation to advance the design and integration of automation cells for magnet production in Zurich. You will influence line design, develop control strategies, and oversee FAT testing with suppliers as part of a high‑impact team.
You will contribute across robotics, HTS technologies, manufacturing integration, and hands‑on production, collaborating closely with engineers and technicians to deliver scalable, repeatable
Competenze
- Master’s degree in mechanical, mechatronics or similar engineering.
- Extensive robotics, automation and process monitoring experience in industrial settings.
- Hands-on production experience across welding, machining, assembly and bonding.
- Experience with robotic simulation and offline programming; FANUC a plus.
- Familiar with industrial communication protocols (OPC UA, Ethernet, Profinet).
- Proficient in industrial PLC programming.
Mansioni
- Advise on future line design and automation concepts.
- Define requirements for automation cells for different processes to ensure performance and safety.
- Develop control strategies for new production lines.
- Build and commission automation cells, including FAT at supplier sites.
- Identify and test manufacturing and in-process monitoring approaches.
- Design jigs and tools for magnet industrialised production.
- Collaborate with engineers and technicians across teams.
