Job summary

Proxima Fusion in Zurich, Europe’s rising fusion leader, seeks an Electrical Engineer to design PCB-based converter electronics. You will translate requirements into robust circuits, drive from initial concept through testing, and collaborate with power electronics, embedded software, mechanical, and thermal teams.

You will own analog and digital electronics, select components, and pursue innovative topologies to deliver reliable, scalable hardware for the world’s first commercial stellarator

Qualifications

• University degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Passion for PCB design from concept through production qualification.
• End-to-end ownership of electronic system design and iteration cycles.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop PCB-based circuits for converters, including gate drivers and sensing circuits.
• Define architectures, select components, run simulations, and create schematics/PCB layouts.
• Explore novel circuit topologies to improve performance, reliability, and efficiency.
• Build prototypes and perform lab testing, verification, and validation of circuits.
