Zusammenfassung

UNITED MACHINING in Switzerland seeks an Electronics Quality Engineer to assure PCBA production quality across wave soldering, THT, and mixed tech. You will maintain control plans, acceptance criteria, and lead structured problem solving (8D, 5 Why) with cross‑functional teams.

You will validate test systems (SPEA, Flying Probe, ICT) and drive corrective actions, while supporting NPI and supplier quality activities. Fluent Italian and English (B2+) are required. Based in Losone, Ticino.

Qualifikationen

• Degree in Electronics or equivalent technical background.
• 5 years of experience in electronics manufacturing, quality, or test engineering.

Your tasks

• Ensure quality control of PCBA production processes (THT, wave soldering, selective soldering, mixed technology) and maintain control plans and acceptance criteria.
• Support production teams in troubleshooting electronic failures and lead structured problem-solving activities (8D, 5 Why, root cause analysis).
• Ensure reliability of electronic test systems (SPEA, Flying Probe, functional test benches) and implement corrective actions on test failures.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce internal defects and support New Product Introduction (NPI) with robust manufacturing and test processes.
• Support supplier quality activities, define incoming inspection requirements, and contribute to the analysis of assemblies returned from the field.

Your profile

• Degree in Electronics or equivalent technical background; 5 years of experience in electronics manufacturing, quality, or test engineering.
• Knowledge of PCB assembly technologies, soldering processes, and solder joint quality; experience with electronic test systems (SPEA, Flying Probe, ICT or similar) is a strong advantage.
• Structured problem-solving mindset (8D, 5 Why) with hands‑on, pragmatic approach and strong technical curiosity.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with production, R&D, and supplier teams; clear and effective communication with technical stakeholders.
• Fluent in Italian; English B2 or higher required.
