United Machining in Losone, TI, is seeking a Mechanical Designer to create technical documentation for EDM components and assemblies, including 3D models, 2D drawings, and BOMs. You will design sheet metal panels supporting a senior engineer and ensuring manufacturability and cost efficiency.

Collaborating with R&D, Production, Purchasing, and Testing, you will contribute to product innovation while researching new components for industrialization.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• Minimum 3 years of experience documenting parts and assemblies.
• Proficiency in Solid Edge for 3D models and 2D drawings.
• Familiarity with ISO GPS drawing standards.
• Italian/C1 and English/B2 language skills.

Your tasks

• Develop technical documentation for EDM machine components and functional assemblies (3D models, 2D drawings, and bills of materials) in compliance with international and company standards.
• Design sheet metal panels and components in support of a senior engineer, ensuring manufacturability and cost efficiency.
• Contribute to product innovation by proposing solutions that improve reliability, safety, and ergonomics while reducing production costs and lead times.
• Collaborate with R&D, Production, Purchasing, and Testing teams, ensuring a multidisciplinary approach throughout the product development lifecycle.
• Research and evaluate new mechanical components on the market, engaging with suppliers to support product industrialization.

Your profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of experience in technical documentation: 3D models, 2D drawings, and bills of materials for parts and assemblies.
• Proficiency in Solid Edge, with experience in drawing layout and functional dimensioning according to ISO GPS standards.
• Precise, curious, and detail-oriented; able to manage multiple tasks in parallel.
• Italian C1; English B2 required.
