Evatec AG, based in Vaud, Switzerland, seeks a Category Manager for Electrical Components to drive strategic sourcing and supplier partnerships on a key category. This on-site role focuses on achieving cost efficiency and supply security within a high-tech manufacturing environment.

You will leverage your electrical know-how and procurement expertise to support product development and global supply chains, ensuring robust negotiations and market insight.

Qualifikationen

• Technical or commercial qualification, preferably with electrical engineering background.
• 5–8 years international procurement experience in plant engineering, capital equipment or industrial manufacturing.
• Solid understanding of electrical components, motors and electromechanical systems.
• Proficiency with MS Office and ERP systems; SAP experience is an advantage.
• Fluent German and English, willing to travel ~15%.

Aufgaben

• Negotiate with foresight: lead price and contract negotiations for electrical components and assemblies.
• Drive category strategy: develop and implement sourcing strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Optimize costs and processes: identify savings and improve procurement and inventory costs.
• Build strong supplier partnerships: establish a strategic supplier network and conduct reviews.
• Leverage market intelligence: monitor category developments to support strategic decisions.
