Job summary

EPAM Systems, Inc. in Lausanne or Aarau, Switzerland, seeks a Cloud and Hosting Lead to own the hybrid Cloud & Hosting domain across VMware/Hyper-V, AWS, and AVD/VDI environments. You will drive transition activities, mentor offshore teams, and ensure security and data residency compliance.

Ideal candidates have 7–10 years in infrastructure and cloud, MSP experience, and an AWS Solutions Architect Associate certification. English fluency is required; German/French is a plus.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of infrastructure and cloud engineering experience.
• Proven track record of cloud modernization initiatives.
• Solid experience in MSP or outsourcing environments.
• Knowledge of hybrid deployments including on-prem virtualization and public cloud services.
• AWS Solutions Architect Associate certification.
• Professional fluency in English; German/French a strong advantage.

Responsibilities

• Own the Cloud & Hosting domain across a hybrid infrastructure estate (VMware/Hyper-V, AWS, AVD/VDI).
• Lead transition-in activities: discovery, dependency mapping, runbook creation, tooling onboarding.
• Provide technical leadership and mentor offshore engineering teams (BAU, patching, monitoring, backups, capacity, incidents).
• Drive cloud optimization via FinOps, right-sizing, and capacity tuning.
• Serve as on-call escalation point for P1/P2 incidents.
• Ensure NIS2 compliance and data residency requirements in cloud operations.
• Collaborate with client leadership on strategic and operational decisions.

Job description

We're looking for a Cloud and Hosting Lead to join our team in Lausanne or Aarau, Switzerland in a hybrid working mode. In this role, you will act as EPAM's primary infrastructure authority in Switzerland, co-locating with the client’s Head of Cloud. You will own the entire Cloud & Hosting domain across a hybrid estate that includes on-premises VMware/Hyper-V, AWS cloud environments and an AVD/VDI setup.
