Leading Advisers is supporting a Swiss family-owned group to recruit a highly operational Chief Financial Officer. The role centers on an in-depth restructuring of the finance function and stabilizing the SAP environment deployed about two years ago.

The CFO will oversee consolidation, reporting, and internal controls, build a strong finance team, and provide strategic financial insights to support growth and external transactions.

Leading Advisers is supporting a Swiss family-owned group of around 350 employees, generating revenue of approximately CHF 100 million and structured as a holding company, in the recruitment of its future Chief Financial Officer.

Entirely Swiss, our client is built on a historic printing and reprographics business, complemented by strong development in business digitalization and mass printing through a dedicated production center.

Driven by a generational transition, the group is entering a new phase of growth and transformation.

To succeed an interim solution, we are seeking a highly operational Chief Financial Officer, ready to take on an in-depth restructuring of the finance function, particularly around the SAP environment deployed roughly two years ago, which needs to be stabilized.

Responsibilities

• Oversight of the group's finance function: consolidation across the holding structures, reporting, management control, and ensuring the reliability of figures


• Structuring and upgrading the SAP environment: consolidating processes, fixing dysfunctions, and driving the tool's maturity


• Building and developing the finance team: with the latitude to recruit and structure the team according to needs


• Supporting senior management: providing financial insight to inform strategic decisions and growth


• M&A dimension: active participation in external growth transactions and target analysis in a sector expected to consolidate

Candidate Profile

• A \"hands-on\", senior profile, comfortable with numbers and operational detail, rather than a purely strategic one


• Essential experience gained in an SME or mid-sized group environment (profiles from very large corporations do not fit the need)


• Solid accounting and financial foundation, with strong command of consolidation


• Practical mastery of SAP highly valued


• Sensitivity to audit / internal control considered a strong asset


• Fluent German (primary language), good level of French, and professional English


• Ability to rebuild, roll up one's sleeves, and durably structure the function, with a strong appetite for transformation projects
