Gunia Consulting is seeking a CFO for a growing Swiss group, owned by a private equity investor. You will build the finance function at group level and directly oversee selected portfolio companies.

The ideal candidate has a Big 4 or consulting background with first operational finance leadership, and is a hands-on builder with a 10x mindset, ready to scale the business. German, English and French are required from day 1.

We are hiring a CFO for a growing group of companies in Switzerland, owned by a private equity investor. The group spans several companies and plans to grow significantly over the coming years. As CFO you build the finance function that carries this growth, at group level and with direct responsibility for selected portfolio companies.

The role is designed for an ambitious talent with a Big 4 or consulting background and first operational finance leadership, ready to step into full CFO responsibility. We are not looking for a finished group CFO, but for a hands-on builder with a 10x mindset who wants to scale, not administer.

Your responsibilities

• Group-wide finance leadership: accounting, reporting and controlling at group level, plus coordinating the finance structures of the portfolio companies
• Operational ownership: direct, hands-on financial leadership of selected companies, with a small team and in close cooperation with the CEO
• Standardization, professionalization and digitalization of finance processes across the group
• Supporting acquisitions and the integration of new companies, together with the CEO, board and investor
• Real scope with perspective: the role is set up as a long-term key position

Your profile

• A foundation in finance, controlling or accounting, ideally from a leading audit or advisory firm (e.g. Big 4), plus operational insight into company finances
• Hands-on and ownership-driven, with a 10x mindset: you want to build and scale, not just keep things running
• You think strategically and turn numbers into clear decisions
• Structured and tool-savvy (incl. Lucanet, ERP), comfortable with processes and digitalization
• A clear communicator and reliable sparring partner for management, team and board
• Business-fluent German, English and French are required from day 1
