Job summary
PHENOGY AG, Lucerne or Bremen, seeks a customer-oriented Sales Engineer for Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). You translate customer needs into technically feasible, commercially viable BESS solutions and support the sales team from first consultation to proposal stage.
Work with Product, Engineering, R&D, and Operations to ensure feasibility and value alignment. Travel within Germany/Switzerland; report to Head of Sales – EMEA; enjoy hybrid work arrangements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field.
- At least 3 years in technical sales or similar customer-facing role.
- Strong understanding of battery systems and energy storage.
- Fluent in German and English.
Responsibilities
- Be the technical expert as part of the sales team throughout the sales cycle for PHENOGY’s BESS solutions.
- Analyze customer requirements and translate them into technically and commercially viable solution concepts.
- Present technical solutions and communicate their value to customers and partners.
- Design customized BESS solutions and support the preparation of technical and commercial proposals.
- Conduct load profile analyses, business case assessments, and ROI calculations.
- Support tender, RFP, and customer qualification processes.
