Job summary

Jobup in Bern seeks a Technical Project Manager BESS to drive the technical aspects from planning to handover. You will steer decisions, ensure quality and grid compliance, and coordinate internal and external specialists.

The role requires a HF/FH/ETH-level electrical engineering background, several years in large energy projects, and fluency in German with good English. Willingness to travel across nearby European countries.

Qualifications

• HF/FH/ETH-level electrical engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in planning, construction, commissioning and handover of large energy/infrastructure projects.
• Knowledge of BESS, medium/high voltage, grid connection, SCADA/EMS/OT.
• Familiarity with QA/QC, ITP, FAT, SAT, NCR and punch lists.
• Knowledge of grid compliance, plant certification and grid connection processes.
• Fluent German and good English.
• Willingness to travel to nearby European countries.

Responsibilities

• Ensure technical compliance of the BESS scope from detailed planning through construction to handover to operations.
• Act as the technical interface, lead internal and external specialists.
• Review and approve planning and design documents per Owner's Engineer recommendations and decide on technical deviations.
• On the client side, ensure QA/QC and manage ITP, FAT, SAT, NCR and defect management.
• Coordinate protection concepts, models, PPC-/EMS parameters and the required conformity documentation.
• Manage commissioning up to technical handover and assess changes, claims and deviations from a technical perspective.
