Mandarin Oriental Savoy, Zurich is seeking a Banquet Supervisor to join our Food & Beverage team. Based in Zurich, you will oversee banquet and event operations to ensure weddings, conferences, meetings run smoothly and guest service is exemplary.

You will report to the Banquet Manager and Assistant Banquet Manager, work closely with other departments, and ensure pre/post function arrangements are well prepared while maintaining high quality standards. German and English fluency is required.

Qualifikationen

• Completed vocational training in the upscale hotel or catering industry, ideally 1–2 years of professional experience in a similar position.
• Expressiveness, open-mindedness and team spirit.
• Written and verbal communication skills - guests will come to you with both complaints and positive feedback.
• High quality awareness and a sense for trends.
• Good computer skills and knowledge of various cash register systems.
• Excellent manners and well-groomed appearance, as well as a positive charisma.
• Flexibility and resilience - your position will include night, weekend and holiday shifts.
• Very good knowledge of German and English.
• Additional foreign language skills are an advantage.

Aufgaben

• Representing and supporting the Assistant Banqueting Manager
• Ensuring a smooth and guest-oriented workflow in the Banqueting department in close cooperation with all departments
• Ensuring the functions are well prepared and organized according to the BEO agreed.
• Monitoring the pre and post function arrangement
• Liaising and communicating with Banquet sales & Culinary team ensuring full awareness of client needs
• Coordination of daily work in order to ensure a smooth service process according to our quality standards in our banqueting department
• Personal care and advice for our guests
• Ensuring guest satisfaction subject to the highest quality standards and professional handling of guest complaints
• Close cooperation with all departments for a unique hotel experience
