Job summary

Adaptyv in Lausanne is building an automated lab where AI-driven biology experiments are executed by humans behind the scenes. This hands-on role keeps the lab running, calibrates instruments, prepares buffers, and ensures inventory is ready so scientists can work without interruption.

You will own daily upkeep of automation and instruments, drive new lab operations processes, organize storage, manage waste per safety rules, and collaborate with the Lab Manager to scale the lab as we grow.

Qualifications

• Laboratory apprenticeship or BSc in a relevant field.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Experience with lab automation or liquid handling is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Run daily and weekly calibration of Hamilton liquid handling systems.
• Calibrate and maintain instruments like Echo and pH meters.
• Look after the SPR system: buffer bottle changes, rinsing, and routine upkeep.
• Take ownership of automated workcells and keep them clean, organized, and calibrated.
• Prepare buffers, reagents, and reaction mixes according to SOPs; run weekly buffer production.
• Lead rollout of inventory management and lab operations processes across the lab.
