Job summary

Adaptyv is building an automated lab in Lausanne that enables AI agents to design and run biology experiments. You’ll develop work-cell orchestration, instrument drivers, and protocol scheduling to control real machines and validate results in real time.

The role blends software and hardware, requiring code that runs reliably on physical devices, with a focus on error handling, observability, and robust automation across multiple instruments.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Python and/or TypeScript for production-grade code.
• Experience driving physical devices or lab automation interfaces.
• Ability to read protocols and reason about timing and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Build orchestration software that coordinates liquid handlers, plate readers, incubators, and robot arms — handling timing dependencies, state, and error recovery.
