Job summary

Adaptyv is seeking a senior scientist who owns assay quality, data QC, and production troubleshooting across the experimental pipeline in Lausanne, Switzerland. You will diagnose root causes of production failures, translate R&D methods into production-ready protocols, and mentor technicians while elevating the whole team.

You will bridge biology, automation, and QC, ensuring scalable, high-quality assays and robust control strategies for automated wet-lab workflows in a fast-growing biotech

Qualifications

• PhD in protein biochemistry, biophysics, or structural biology with 3–5 years in a production or development role.
• Hands-on experience with protein expression and purification (E. coli, mammalian, cell-free) and biophysical characterization (BLI, SPR).
• Experience with high-throughput workflows and 96-well plates and liquid handling systems.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot production failures across the full pipeline and identify root causes.
• Develop and document SOPs for new assays as the portfolio expands.
• Mentor a growing production team and set quality standards.
• Collaborate with researchers, technicians, and automation engineers on protocol optimization.
