Adaptyv is building an automated biology lab where AI-driven agents design and run experiments inside a physical system. We’re seeking a Lab Automation Engineer to design, build, and operate drivers for instruments, integrate work cells, and reverse-engineer control protocols with open-source tooling.

You’ll own software glue and drive automation across hardware and software stacks. You’ll work with Biologists to turn new assays into reliable automated workflows, ensuring 24/7 production runs

Qualifikationen

• Strong software engineering skills with real Python code and maintainable structure.
• Hands-on lab automation experience with instrument control and workflows.
• Experience reverse-engineering instruments or building drivers is a plus.
• Self-starting, independent, and able to work across software, firmware, and mechanics.

Aufgaben

• Design, build, and run lab automation systems and drivers for instruments.
• Integrate work cells so multiple devices operate as a cohesive unit.
• Reverse-engineer instrument controls and create robust drivers.
• Write glue code and services connecting hardware to the platform (Python/TS).
• Collaborate with biologists to convert assays into automated workflows.
• Improve throughput, error recovery, and reliability for 24/7 runs.
