Job summary

OneAPPS Consulting in Zurich, Switzerland, is seeking experienced Application Support Analysts to support banking applications built on Oracle, Java and Linux/Unix. You will handle production incidents and work with cross-functional teams to maintain system availability.

The role requires strong SQL/PLSQL, Unix scripting, and ITIL-aligned procedures; you will contribute to automation, DR readiness, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced financial services environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in L2/L3 Application Support / Production Support.
• Strong hands-on experience with Linux/Unix environments.
• Excellent knowledge of Oracle SQL and PL/SQL, including query writing and performance analysis.
• Experience in incident management, problem management, change management and production releases.
• Familiarity with monitoring and batch scheduling tools such as Control-M or equivalent.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex enterprise applications independently.

Responsibilities

• Provide L2/L3 application and production support for banking systems based on Oracle, Java and Unix/Linux.
• Manage production incidents, problem resolution, root cause analysis (RCA) and escalations within SLAs.
• Support application deployments, releases and changes across test and production environments.
• Participate in disaster recovery (DR) testing, production site switches and resilience exercises.
• Analyse complex production issues, identify root causes and implement fixes.
• Assess production impacts of major application changes and review technical documentation.
• Develop and maintain SQL queries, PL/SQL scripts, Unix shell scripts and support automation tools.
• Monitor application performance, batch processing and scheduled jobs.
• Collaborate with development, infrastructure, database and business teams to ensure stability.
• Support continuous improvement, automation and production operational efficiency.

Role: Application Support Analyst

OneAPPS is looking for experienced Application Support Analysts to support business-critical banking applications built on Oracle, Java and Linux/Unix technologies.

The ideal candidates will have strong production support experience, excellent troubleshooting skills, and hands‑on expertise in SQL/PLSQL, Unix shell scripting and enterprise application environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide L2/L3 application and production support for Oracle, Java and Unix/Linux-based banking systems.
• Manage production incidents, problem resolution, root cause analysis (RCA) and escalations within agreed SLAs.
• Support application deployments, releases and changes across test and production environments.
• Participate in disaster recovery (DR) testing, production site switches and resilience exercises.

Required Skills & Experience
