UBS in Lugano, Ticino, is offering a paid 6-month Internship in Corporate Clients (CIC) starting February 2027. You will support relationship managers, assist with onboarding, and help with payments and banking transactions under supervision.

Your role

Interested in working in finance, specifically to support business clients, but not sure where to start? Do you want to work for a firm with a truly global footprint? We're looking for ambitious students to join our 2027 Internship Program within our Corporate and Institutional Clients (CIC) business in Switzerland.

You’ll Get To

• support relationship managers in their day-to-day activities, including preparing client meetings, presentations and follow-up documentation
• assist with client onboarding and account maintenance by collecting information, checking documentation and coordinating with internal specialist teams
• support the preparation and execution of payments, financing and other banking transactions under appropriate supervision
• conduct research on companies, industries and the Ticino market to help identify client needs and business opportunities
• prepare portfolio reviews, pipeline updates and basic business analyses using internal tools and data
• help maintain accurate client records and support internal processes in line with risk, compliance and data-protection requirements
• coordinate with colleagues across Corporate Banking, Credit Risk, Client Services, Real Estate and product specialist teams
• interact professionally with internal and external stakeholders in Italian and English; German is an advantage
• gain a broad understanding of our corporate client offering, industry, culture and strategy

Your team

You’ll be working in our Corporate Clients team in Ticino, based in Lugano. We support local entrepreneurs, small and medium-sized enterprises and large corporate clients with their day-to-day banking needs and long-term strategic ambitions. By bringing together relationship managers and specialists across corporate banking, financing, real estate, cash management and investment solutions, we deliver comprehensive and integrated advice in Switzerland and support clients as they expand internationally. As an intern, you’ll join a collaborative regional team, gain exposure to a broad range of clients and work closely with colleagues across UBS.

Your expertise

We’re Looking For a Candidate Who

• has completed at least 4 semesters of a bachelor's degree, and graduated no longer than 12 months ago (bachelor's or master's degree)
• has a competitive minimum GPA of 4.5 according to the Swiss grading system
• can evidence how experimental and responsible use of AI can improve outcomes and efficiency
• is proficient in English, additional languages are a plus
• has values that align with ours: hard-working, trustworthy, dedicated and collaborative
• is a strategic thinker with strong communication skills
• is motivated to work in a business with high demands and tight deadlines

Your program

This paid internship will last 6 months. You’ll work with our experts and learn about the industry, our clients and our firm. You’ll be right at the heart of our business, learning from your colleagues, taking part in day-to-day operations. You'll be given mentors along the way and will have the chance to get to know some of the most senior members of our teams. You’ll have plenty of opportunities to develop new skills and make contacts along the way. If you have a successful internship, you may get an offer to return for our Graduate Talent Program after you've completed your studies.
