An esteemed community organization in Powell River seeks a dedicated Early Childhood Educator to provide quality care and engage children through the YMCA Playing to Learn curriculum. Responsibilities include building positive relationships with families and ensuring a safe environment. Ideal candidates possess ECE certification, strong communication skills, and the ability to adhere to licensing standards. Location: Edgehill YMCA Child Care (7312 Abbotsford St, Powell River, BC V8A 2G5)
Schedule: Monday - Friday rotating shifts between the hours of 7:45am to 5:15pm
Salary Or Wage: $30.19 per hour for ECE License ((Includes $6 per hour Provincial Wage Enhancement Program)
Start Date: As soon as possible
Job Type: Full Time
Early childhood educators (ECE, ECE-IT/SN) at the YMCA ensure a safe and engaging environment for all children. By adhering to the YMCA Playing to Learn curriculum, they design, and lead activities tailored to the interests and developmental stages of the children in their care. These educators also cultivate and maintain strong, positive relationships with parents, fellow educators, and community partners to deliver high-quality childcare within the communities we serve.
