Finish Dozer & Excavator Operator - Penticton, BC
Job summary
A leading heavy construction contractor in Penticton is seeking a Finish Dozer/Excavator Operator for full-time project-based work. The role requires 3-5 years of experience operating Dozers and Excavators, including finishing work such as sloping and leveling. Safety adherence is paramount in this physically demanding position. Applicants must have reliable transportation and CSA-approved steel-toed boots. Pay ranges from $36 to $40 per hour, based on experience. Drug and alcohol testing required before employment.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years experience as a Dozer/Excavator operator is required.
- Experience with finishing work (sloping, leveling) is essential.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate Dozer/ Excavator for stripping, ditching, sloping, leveling.
- Work safely close to personnel and other equipment.
- Adhere to and promote the company's safety program.

Sureway Construction is one of Alberta’s largest heavy construction contractors, with over 50 years’ experience, involved in civil earthworks and grading, utilities and offsite, mine operation and aggregate extraction.
We are looking for a Finish Dozer/ Excavator Operator in the PENTICTON area.
Job Type: Full Time, project basis
Schedule: 10+ hours per day, 6 & 1, OT after 8hr/day or 40hr/week
Location: Initial project in PENTICTON, BC
Pay Range: $36-$40 per hour depending on experience
Essential: Hard-working, reliable, flexible with schedule, ability to work in physically demanding conditions
Requirements:
- Personal Reliable Vehicle
- CSA approved steel toed boots with 6” ankle support
Pre-employment:
- Drug and alcohol testing (swab-based test)
- Successful completion of Company Orientation and site-specific orientation
- Safe operation of Dozer/ Excavator as it pertains to stripping, ditching, sloping, leveling
- Operate Dozer/Excavator in close proximity to ground personnel and other equipment
- Promote, execute and adhere to the company’s safety program, and encourage all employees, subcontractors and consultants to adopt safety as a culture.

- Three (3) to five (5) years’ experience as a Dozer/ Excavator operator.
- Experience with finishing work (sloping, leveling) required.
