A leading healthcare provider is seeking a Registered Nurse, Directing (DRN) to manage pediatric and palliative clients. This role involves remote assessment, clinical direction, and collaboration with Personal Support Workers, ensuring high-quality care in a virtual environment.

The Registered Nurse, Directing (DRN) role manages pediatric, palliative, and/or acute medically complex clients with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) or Congestive Heart Failure (CHF) by directing Personal Support Workers (PSWs), also known as Health Care Technicians (HCT). HCTs are provided specialized training to work with this patient population. Utilizing an innovative care delivery model and electronic documentation technology, the DRN, working remotely, accesses, assesses, and identifies the client’s immediate care needs. Using a collaborative approach, the DRN immediately provides direction to on-site HCTs to deliver direct care, ensuring real-time provision of services.
This role requires attention to detail in a dynamic environment, involving physical activities such as lifting, carrying (with proper techniques), bending, reaching, kneeling, and other movements emphasizing good body mechanics. The role involves walking, sitting, standing, and climbing stairs, with some tasks requiring fine hand movements.
