Summary of the Position

Carparts.com is seeking a Maintenance Technician to work with the Facilities manager in the upkeep, maintenance and/or repair of various equipment and items in the warehouse. The right candidate will have high attention to detail, can work without supervision and have a passion for maintaining a safe work environment.

YOU WILL

• Coordinate with the Facilities Supervisor, Operations Manager and Director of Operations on maintenance work and special projects.
• Manage equipment repairs and maintenance.
• Execute equipment audits and record-taking policies

• Maintain adequate parts inventory and order items as necessary
• Ensure compliance with all safety and security protocols
• Fire Extinguisher Maintenance - annually
• Compressor Maintenance - weekly, monthly and quarterly
• Assists in battery maintenance - Keep batteries charged and watered
• To ensure the cleanliness of the work area at the end of the shift.
• To perform other work-related tasks that may be assigned to him.

YOU ARE

• A Team player able to work with others.
• Able to fully carry out instructions as given
• Familiar with Carpentry
• Have light electrical experience
• Have light plumbing experience
• Computer literacy
• Able to multitask.
• You have stellar communications skills.
• Flexible attitude
• Self-motivation and a determination to succeed
• Can manage to deadlines
• Detail Oriented
• Prior facilities experience. Custodial experience is helpful.
