A leading data technology company in Canada is looking for a Senior Data Engineer to enhance and maintain their data processing and storage systems. Ideally, you will have over 5 years of experience with high-volume data infrastructure and be proficient in programming languages like Python, Java, or Scala. The Data Platform team’s purpose is to design, build, and maintain scalable and efficient data infrastructure that empowers Life360 teams to make data-driven decisions. We transform raw data into reliable, accessible, and actionable insights, ensuring data quality, compliance, security, costs and performance at every step. By leveraging innovative technologies and best practices, we enable Product, Analytics and Partners to unlock the full potential of data, driving operational excellence and strategic growth.
At Life360, we collect a lot of data: 60 billion unique location points, 12 billion user actions, 8 billion miles driven every single month, and so much more. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will contribute to enhancing and maintaining our data processing and storage pipelines/workflows for external and internal data consumers. You should have a strong engineering background and even more importantly a desire to take ownership of our data systems to make them world class.
