Senior Manager, Medical Affairs Oncology - Canada

Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, Inc
Mississauga
CAD 80.000 - 100.000
Descripción del empleo

At Regeneron we believe that when the right idea finds the right team, powerful change is possible. As we work across our expanding global network to invent, develop and commercialize life-transforming medicines for people with serious diseases, we’re establishing new ways to think about science, manufacturing and commercialization. And new ways to think about health.

Committing to solving the human body’s most complex mysteries, we are the only biopharma company founded and led by physician-scientists for our entire 37-year history.

From our first days, science was and remains our central guiding principle.

Senior Manager, Medical Affairs Oncology – Canada

(Office based role – hybrid)

In this new & exciting opportunity, you will apply your scientific & medical affairs knowledge for Oncology products and help to build Regeneron’s profile with the scientific and medical specialist community in Canada.

In this role, a typical day may include the following:

  1. Identify & assess critical gaps and develop/implement Medical strategies and initiatives to address needs, as appropriate.

  2. Implement external scientific activities involving the scientific and medical specialist community and bring the medical perspectives of the healthcare community back into the organization - examples include advisory boards, medical education, congresses, publications, sponsorships, etc.

  3. Aligning the strategy and manage the planning, development, and execution of accredited and non-accredited educational initiatives. This includes collaborating with physician associations, external experts, and internal teams to create and execute impactful learning programs. Coordinate and support in-field activities, assisting Field Staff in execution.

  4. Ensuring all activities comply with industry regulations and internal policies, maintaining the highest standards of ethical conduct. Act as a subject matter expert responsible for the review, approval and documentation of materials.

  5. Collaborating cross-functionally to develop and implement key initiatives by working to co-create impactful initiatives that align to the therapeutic strategy and address the needs of external stakeholders.

  6. Manage project timelines and objectives to meet therapeutic area strategies, including oversight of any external vendors to ensure timely and budget-compliant delivery of activities and programs.

  7. Building & maintaining strong relationships with healthcare professionals and other relevant stakeholders to gather insights, conduct needs assessments and conduct innovative initiatives.

This role may be for you if:

  1. You have an outstanding work ethic and integrity, including high ethical and scientific standards.

  2. You can work effectively in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment and cooperatively with the team across the organization to achieve shared objectives.

  3. You enjoy bringing new and unique ideas that move science forward and enjoy dealing with scientific concepts and complexity comfortably.

  4. The ability to make good decisions based upon a mixture of analysis, wisdom, experience, and judgment. The ability to make these decisions in a timely manner, sometimes with incomplete information and under tight deadlines and pressure.

  5. Strong motivational, negotiation, listening & analytic skills.

  6. You can work independently and engage in collaborative decision-making.

  7. You are comfortable with change & can shift gears comfortably, can decide and act without having the total picture, and can comfortably handle risk and uncertainty.

Join us, as we build a future we believe in.

To be considered for this, you must have a post-graduate scientific degree (PharmD, MD, PhD, or other scientific degree) as well as over 6 years of proven experience within the pharmaceutical industry in Oncology and Medical Affairs. With a proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment, you have a solid understanding of the Canadian healthcare environment, with excellent written and verbal communication in English (and French, would be an asset). This role is based out of the Regeneron Canada head office located in Mississauga, Ontario.
