Job description

Our client, a leading financial institution in Downtown Toronto, is looking for a Risk Analyst proficient in supporting day-to-day operations to enable supplier governance and oversight activities throughout the third-party lifecycle. This role involves using various tools and applications to support adherence to Third Party Risk monitoring activities. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with one of the Top 5 Banks in Canada.

Typical Day in Role:

• Provide advisory support to key stakeholders in the Risk Assessment process, including clarification on communications related to change management activities supporting the rollout of enterprise policies, standards, processes, and tools.
• Identify process gaps and make recommendations to improve efficiencies within the Functions Supplier Management program and integration initiatives.
• Drive continuous improvements to ensure operational excellence, including maintenance, quality control, gap analysis, and process and procedure enhancements.
• Develop, build, and manage effective relationships across functions and other bank’s business platforms, including procurement, supplier management offices, and governance centers.
• Resolve operational issues, risks, and conflicts by collaborating with key stakeholders and escalating when necessary.

Must-Have Skills:

• At least 3 years of experience in Supplier Risk/Risk Management, including risk and governance practices, frameworks, methodologies, and the supplier management lifecycle.
• Working knowledge of Archer, Ivalua, Concur, or equivalent risk and compliance tools and software.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint).

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Data management and visualization skills, such as Tableau.
• Familiarity with financial services or banking sectors.
• Ability to interpret contract and commercial purchase language.

Soft Skills:

• Strong communication and relationship management skills, with the ability to present effectively to diverse audiences and influence senior management.
• Excellent critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to self-manage.
• Quick learner.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (BComm / MBA), CTPRP Certification, Canadian Risk Management (CRM) designation, or a Certificate of Professional Learning in Risk Management.
