The Mission

We are seeking an exceptional Engineering Manager to join our growing Cloud Architecture &Engineering practice. The right candidate is someone who is technically strong, experienced inmanaging a team of Architects and Engineers, capable of overseeing delivery engagements,and passionate about working with our customers, partners, and employees to drive thebusiness forward.

Your Assignment

• Manage a team of 5-8 cloud engineers and architects.
• Define and communicate the value of technical solutions through structureddocumentation, value charters, and roadmaps.
• Take on hands-on technical responsibilities, including technical tasks during sprints.
• Lead technical discussions with customers and guide solution direction.
• Handle code reviews and pull request management to ensure code quality.
• Manage task assignments within sprints and ensure timely delivery.
• Provide guidance on roadmap planning, best practices, and risk identification.
• Mentor team members within projects, sharing feedback and supporting growthopportunities.
• Serve as the point of technical escalation for client engagements.
• Kick off new projects and ensure alignment between technical delivery and businessgoals.
• Support pre-sales through proposal development, contract review, and clientpresentations.
• Conduct technical interviews for Architect and Engineer candidates.
• Perform 1:1s and support the career growth of your direct reports.
• Navigate customer and team challenges with strong conflict resolution and leadershipskills.

• Shapes customer engagement strategies by identifying needs and mapping Caylentcapabilities to business goals.

Communication

• Creates clear, actionable roadmaps focused on customer deliverables.
• Confidently negotiates timelines and resources while providing recommendations rootedin technical and business expertise.

Technical Qualifications

• Deep experience in hands-on technical roles and working with AWS.
• Proven experience managing and mentoring technical teams.
• Naturally curious and committed to continuous learning.

• Experience with:
  • Migrations
  • CI/CD
  • IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation, AWS CDK, Pulumi)
  • Scripting
  • Containers (Kubernetes, Docker, ECS, Fargate)
  • Cloud security best practices
  • Networking
  • Incident, release, problem, and change management processes.
• Experience working in client-facing and Agile project environments.
• Background in consultancy or advisory roles.

Base Salary Range: The expected base salary range for this position is CAD $180,000 - $202,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Additional Compensation Components:In addition to the base salary, the compensation package may include bonuses, commissions, equity, and other incentives. The specific components will vary depending on the role and individual and/or company performance.

This role may require up to 25% travel, depending on business needs.
