Job summary
A global testing and certification company in Burnaby seeks a Laboratory Technician to handle samples and perform chemical analyses while ensuring data accuracy and compliance with operating procedures. Responsibilities include homogenizing samples, cleaning workspaces, and maintaining quality records. The role requires a relevant degree and offers flexibility in a Monday to Friday schedule, with a pay rate of $18.90 per hour. Health, dental, and vision coverage are provided, along with paid time off.

Responsibilities
- Handles samples, performs chemical analyses and reports data accurately.
- Homogenizes samples following standard protocols.
- Assists with cleaning laboratory carts, glassware, and racks.
- Maintains cleanliness of laboratory work surfaces.
- Maintains records of all quality activities as required.
- Performs applicable testing with proper proficiency training.

The Laboratory Technician handles samples, performs chemical analyses and reports accurate and timely data according to Laboratory Operating Procedures and test methodologies.
- Homogenizes samples following standard protocols.
- Assists with cleaning laboratory carts, glassware, racks.
- Maintains cleanliness of laboratory work surfaces.
- Maintains records of all quality activities as required in Operating Procedures and Test Methods.
- Performs applicable testing with proper proficiency training with Supervision.
- Maintains and verifies equipment.
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Chemistry or related field required
- Commercial laboratories experience an asset
WORK SCHEDULE - Monday-Friday 8AM-5PM (flexibility will be provided)
Salary:$18.90 per hour
- 80% coverage Health, Dental and Vision
- Paid time off
