As Brock Solutions continues to grow and respond to the ongoing requirements of major clients, we need to add talent to our team of outstanding professionals. We are currently seeking Intermediate Control Systems Engineers to join our team at our head office in Kitchener, ON.

Working with highly motivated engineers, you will be involved in designing, programming, integrating, and troubleshooting new and existing automated control systems.

Responsibilities may include:

• Preparing functional specifications
• Electrical engineering tasks
• Assisting with equipment selection
• PLC programming
• Design and programming of Human Machine Interfaces (HMI)
• Site commissioning and installation support
• Troubleshooting electrical, PLC, and HMI systems
• Supporting project proposals and estimation
• Performing other duties as assigned by the Project Manager

Qualifications Required:

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Experience leading teams is an asset
• Problem-solving ability
• Aptitude for ladder logic programming
• Knowledge of Rockwell PLC platforms (Schnieder, Siemens, or Beckhoff is an asset)
• Knowledge of Rockwell HMI/SCADA platforms (Ignition, Aveva, or iFix is an asset)
• Understanding of industrial environments, engineering, and production processes
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Systems Design, Automation, Industrial Engineering, or College equivalent
• Ability to complete all security clearance requirements as needed

Additional experience:

• Experience working for General Motors, Stellantis, Ford, or in the automotive industry is an asset
• GCCS & GCCH Certifications are assets

Other Job Information: Brock Solutions is seeking intermediate to senior Controls Engineers with a minimum of 2 years' experience designing and implementing control systems.

This is a remote position. Successful candidates are expected to work remotely in the Greater Detroit Area with up to 50% onsite work at our local automotive sites.

This role focuses on supporting our expanding customer base in the Greater Detroit Area, with overnight travel beyond the area.
