The Registered Practical Nurse plays a critical role within our communities, impacting residents' lives and fostering human connection.

As a Registered Practical Nurse, your typical day will include:

• Preparing and administering prescribed medications and treatments as directed by the Physician, in accordance with the College of Nurses of Ontario’s Medication Administration Standards.
• Documenting and following up on concerns and complaints from clients, families, or team members, and seeking assistance from the Registered Nurse or designate as needed.
• Promoting the client’s self-care and self-sufficiency, emphasizing adaptation, abilities, wellness, and preventative health education.
• Completing assessments, RAPS, and care plans within required timeframes.
• Supporting unregulated care workers through guidance, training, and education.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

Must haves:

• Current registration as a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
• Minimum of one (1) year experience in Geriatric Nursing, Healthcare, or Rehabilitation as an RPN.
• Successful completion of the prescribed Vulnerable Sector Check.
• Meeting provincial police check and tuberculosis screening requirements as applicable.

Bonus points for:

• Post-graduate studies in Geriatrics and Nursing Administration (asset).
