What You’ll Do

As a Technician, you’ll install and service high-quality security and low-voltage systems in custom homes and light commercial properties—primarily located on Vancouver’s Westside, the North Shore, Bowen Island, and Whistler. You’ll work both independently and as part of a team, often collaborating with other trades, contractors, and designers to deliver exceptional, discreet service in some of Canada’s most prestigious residences.

We expect our technicians to be calm professionals who take pride in clean, technically sound work. The environments we operate in demand excellent communication skills, a high level of discretion, and a meticulous attention to detail.

Systems & Technologies We Work With

Our work includes projects involving:

• Intrusion & Control: DSC Neo, ELK
• Video Surveillance: Avigilon
• Access Control: 2N, Avigilon
• Automation & Integration: ELAN/Nice, Lutron, Control4, Crestron

Who You Are

• You have 3+ years of experience in security, low voltage, or AV installation
• You’re comfortable collaborating with builders, trades, and other contractors
• You take pride in your work and value doing things right the first time
• You carry yourself professionally and can be trusted in sensitive, high-end client environments
• You have a valid BC Class 5 driver's license and a clean abstract

This isn’t a high-volume install shop or a job where your work ends when the wires are pulled. At Provident, we design, install, and support the systems we deploy—often over the course of many years. Your work is the first step in a long-term relationship with the client, supported by our in-house monitoring and alarm response teams.

You’ll be involved in full-system installations, programming, troubleshooting, client walk-throughs, and ongoing support. Our clients expect the best—and so do we.
