Summary

The General Repair Technician III is responsible for performing maintenance and repair, routine and on-demand services on non-technical facility components (general handyman work such as walls, floors, etc.). The technician must perform work in accordance with established processes and practices, and comply with internal and external requirements including environmental, health and safety, and fire protection standards.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and repair non-technical facility components.
  • Complete trades certification or license, or be enrolled to do so.
  • Perform facility and non-technical component monitoring and inspections.
  • Report facility conditions, deficiencies, and suggest improvements.
  • Respond to service requests and perform preventative maintenance.
  • Document work and monitor maintenance activities in the management database.
  • Assist with facility-related projects and ensure compliance with safety policies.
  • Maintain tools and submit expenditure reports timely.
  • Enhance tenant and customer satisfaction through quality service.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Work Requirements:

  • Willingness to wear personal protective equipment.

Minimum Education: High school diploma.

Job-related experience: 1-3 years in facility operations and maintenance.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Facility maintenance experience.
  • Trade-related training is an asset.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair non-technical components.
  • Strong safety mindset and effective communication skills.
  • Interest in completing trades certification or license.

Licenses and Accreditation:
