We are currently seeking a talented Project Engineer with expertise in temporary structures and crane engineering, particularly within the concrete formwork sector, to join our growing team.

Job Description:

As a Project Engineer specializing in temporary structures and crane engineering, you will be responsible for designing and overseeing the implementation of formwork solutions, crane shop drawings, and general formwork detailing. You will collaborate with project managers and site teams to ensure efficient designs for falsework construction.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design and analyze temporary structures, particularly concrete formwork systems and crane configurations, ensuring they meet project specifications and safety regulations.
2. Prepare detailed engineering calculations, drawings, and specifications for formwork and crane systems.
3. Conduct site inspections and assessments (to gain competency with site supervisors).
4. Collaborate with construction teams to troubleshoot and resolve structural and crane-related issues during construction.
5. Stay updated on industry standards, codes, and best practices for temporary structures, formwork, and crane engineering.
6. Assist in training and mentoring junior engineers and technical staff on best practices for temporary structure and crane design.
7. Contribute to project meetings and provide technical expertise to support project objectives.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
2. Professional Engineering (PE) license or equivalent certification (preferred).
3. Minimum 5 years of experience in structural engineering, focusing on temporary structures, concrete formwork, and crane engineering.
4. Proficiency in structural analysis and design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SAP2000, or equivalent).
5. Strong understanding of construction methodologies, crane operations, and safety regulations.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
8. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
