Humana Community Services is seeking a dedicated Child & Youth Worker to support youth in an out-of-home emergency stabilization setting. The role involves overnight shifts and requires a valid Class G Driver’s License for local travel.

The successful candidate will collaborate on care plans, provide a safe environment, and respond to crises with de-escalation and sound judgment while promoting equity and inclusion within a diverse team.

Qualifikationen

• Post-secondary diploma in Child & Youth Worker (CYC) or Social Service Worker (SSW) or equivalent.
• PSW and DSW certifications do not meet educational requirements.
• Minimum two years of related experience providing behaviour intervention support.
• Strong teamwork, dependability, and professional boundaries.

Aufgaben

• Work with children and youth in an out-of-home emergency/urgent stabilization setting overnight.
• Collaborate with teams to implement care plans that support participation in person-centered programs.
• Create a safe, supportive environment by developing therapeutic relationships for diverse needs.
