Job summary

Threshold Housing Society is seeking a Youth Housing Support to act as the primary day contact for youth in housing. The role focuses on providing housing and support for youth involved with MCFD, helping them settle, manage stressors, and address crises while guiding them toward daily goals.

The position is permanent, full-time, with 10-hour shifts from 1:30pm to 11:30pm, Fridays through Sundays and alternating Thursdays, offering a wage range of CAD 26.74–31.00 per hour based on experience and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work or Child & Youth Care.
• 1-2 years' experience with vulnerable populations and at-risk youth.
• Experience facilitating programming is an asset.
• ASIST training and NVCI training are assets.

Responsibilities

• Primary day contact for youth in housing program.
• Support youth in housing setting to settle, manage stressors and potential crisis.
• Work in a team environment using a holistic approach to support individual needs around mental health, life skills, community supports, housing, and other identified areas.
