Job summary

The City of Hamilton is seeking a Youth Facilitator to plan and run recreational and outdoor programs for youth aged 12-17 in city facilities. You will help integrate participants and ensure inclusive participation across backgrounds.

Under supervision, you will develop weekly activities, ensure safety, identify youth needing referrals, and support staff during busy periods, including summer programming. A first aid certification and youth-focused training are assets.

Qualifications

• Experience planning and running youth programs.
• Knowledge of youth mental health and community supports.
• Strong written and spoken communication skills.
• Leadership training and ability to facilitate activities for youth.
• Experience leading crafts, music, sports, arts, drama, and related activities.
• Current Standard First Aid with CPR Level C certificate; WSIB-recognized provider.
