Douglas College is seeking a Youth Program Leader for its Summer Programs running from July 2 to August 29, 2025. This role involves leading activities and supporting operational functions of youth events while ensuring a safe environment for participants. Successful candidates will demonstrate leadership skills, relevant experience, and have a commitment to fostering youth development.
Salary Range: $18.00 to $25.00 per hour. Salary is based on education, experience and certifications.
The Opportunity
The Sports Institute is seeking applications for our Summer Programs for the period of July 2 to August 29, 2025. The Youth Program Leader is to provide leadership, program delivery and support the operational functions of the Sport Institute youth programs, activities and events. This position reports to the Manager, Athletics & Recreation Operations and receives supervision and daily direction from the Program Coordinator, Sports Institute.

Applicants need to be available from June 23 to June 25 (training) with programs beginning July 2 to August 29, 2025, for Summer Programs. Full-time, Part-time and On-call positions are available during these periods. Youth programs will be held at the New Westminster and Coquitlam campuses and several satellite locations such as Town Centre Park. Shifts may be half or full days. Work hours will depend on availability but will occur between 8:30 am and 4:30 pm Monday through Friday.
