As the Chief of Staff/Program Manager for the People Business Partner (PBP) organization, you will collaborate with PBP leaders to drive strategic initiatives, enhance team and business performance, and ensure seamless execution and employee experience.

Our PBP function is a strategic arm of the organization, focusing on Organizational Development and Talent Management. The PBP community partners with Autodesk executives to develop and implement divisional talent strategies that serve as key enablers of the overall business strategy.
This position supports 3 leaders and can be 100% remote based in Canada or the U.S., preferably in PT or MT zones.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and evolve an efficient operating cadence for the PBP community, aligning with People & Places (PPL) and business rhythms, including succession planning, compensation, performance reviews, and talent development.
- Coordinate and facilitate PBP staff and extended staff meetings, functional meetings, and offsites. Build agendas and document decisions, next steps, and follow-ups.
- Serve as a strategic advisor to Practice Leads, helping prioritize initiatives and drive decision-making within Practice Areas and the broader PBP community.
- Partner cross-functionally across PPL to strengthen alignment between Centers of Excellence (COE) and PBP organizations.
- Contribute to cross-functional projects, representing the PBP perspective and influencing program design, delivery, and enablement.
- Partner with Insights Partners to generate insights for Practice Leads using key employee metrics, leveraging tools like the People Insights Portal.
- Drive short- to mid-term initiatives by identifying challenges, framing problems, and delivering solutions. Translate strategies into actionable outcomes.
- Manage internal communications, including drafting emails, updates, presentations, and reports for PBP and executive audiences.
- Support PBP Practice Leads in prioritization and execution, translating strategic vision into outcomes.
- Collaborate with the PBP Executive Assistant regarding priorities, initiatives, meetings, and offsites.
- Build and maintain a trusted relationship with the CPO’s Chief of Staff and Go to Market, operating as a strategic partner.
- Lead and influence across PPL functions including Performance Consulting, Talent Management, Diversity & Belonging, Compensation, Learning & Development, and People Analytics, among others.
Qualifications & Skills
- 8+ years of relevant experience, with a BA/BS degree or equivalent.
- Prior HR/People Business Partner experience preferred.
- Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Analytical mindset with experience working with large data sets.
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills to influence stakeholders.
- Ability to manage operating cadences and drive alignment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to navigate ambiguity.
- Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and ensuring accountability.
- Ability to synthesize complex information into clear recommendations.
- Strategic thinking and proactive response to evolving needs.
- Strong presentation and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Change management skills.
