Job summary

Makivvik seeks a dedicated individual to support youth-focused justice initiatives in Nunavik or Montreal. The role involves case management, coordination with local Justice Committee staff, and maintaining client records with strong attention to confidentiality and cultural sensitivity.

The candidate will work within a team led by the Justice Committee Program Supervisor, travel as required for court and meetings, and contribute to developing youth-oriented initiatives within the program.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or relevant work experience in the judicial field.
• Strong communication in at least two of Inuktitut, English, French.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Knowledge of Inuit culture is an asset.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Support culturally based approaches to restoring harmony in the community.
• Provide case management support with a focus on youth.
• Support Justice Committee Coordinators in working with youth and following up with clients.
• Receive and forward youth referrals to appropriate coordinators.
• Maintain client files and required documents.
